Interesting Day

Today was an interesting day. Woke up this morning, feeling lazy as always. Took a nice warm/hot shower. I hate cold shower/bath. I have to have warm/hot shower/bath and unfortunately in our place, the water is not always as warm as we want it to be. However, the water this morning was very nice.

30 mins after, right before I get to work this morning,

My mum: "Happy Birthday! Wish you ........... .................... ........ (It was too long, I dont even remember what exactly she said.)"

Me: "Huh? It's today?" I knew it's this week, but I really didn't remember that it's today. I guess I got too many things going on in my mind, I just dont have any blank spot in my brain for that. :P It was probably the first time I ever forget my birthday.

Arrived in the office, immediately I saw people in the office are preparing for birthday lunch in the office. I went straight to my spot behing a computer and thinking: "Wait a minute.... What's going on here. I didn't tell anybody." Turned out, they are celebrating Georgia, Steven, Jennifer, Claudia and Jeanne's (people in the office whose birthdays are in March) birthday.

So I got a birthday party without anybody knowing that it's my birthday..... hehehee...
What a fun day.

Desperate Zoo Animal

Went to the San Diego Zoo for the first time this weekend. I love animal. One of my dream is go out there in the wild (with people who know what to do in the wild around me all the time) and be one of those National Geographic Photographers.

I was actually quite disappointed and sad looking at those poor animals in the zoo. Lots of them were sleeping; I guess because they pretty much dont have anything to do other than eat, sleep and poop. Many of them looks so sad and desperate.

However, I did see some happy primates. I saw an orangutan playing with some chimpanzees or siamangs. I also spotted a couple of 'primates I dont know the name of' making love. I guess we have to add that to "The things zoo animals do" list.

One thing that still fresh in my mind is the birth of a duiker/antelope. We got there just in time to see the birth from the "Take a deep breath.....and pushhhhhhh!" phase. It was pretty cool.

I will add some of the photos to the animal section very soon.

Slowly Back on Track

So the flickr meet-up on Sunday, March 12 at Orange Circle went well. It was only a group of 6 (excluding my family), but sometimes it better to have a smaller group.

At first I didnt even touch my camera, it just laid there on the table. But as we walked around, I forced myself to keep trying to shoot. Very soon after, I kept clickin'. I think I'm slowly back on track. It felt very good. :)

Here are some of the photos I took during the flickr meet:

Feed The Homeless

Here is another thing I've been thinking about since months ago. I've been thinking of how to help those who are less fortunate and I figured what's better than treating them a full meal. I'm not too fond of giving homeless people money, cos you'll never know whether they'll spend it on cigarettes, drugs, or food. I find it very sad that a lot of people would prefer cigarettes and drugs to food even when they're starving. That's why I prefer to give them food instead of money.

Starting this second, anytime you purchase a photo (from me), you feed one hungry homeless. I will do the whole thing myself and also send you a report via email of the homeless that you've just helped. I am hoping that most of them will tell me their name and a little about themself (maybe even let me photograph them). Once in a while I will let a couple of people tag along, but certainly not more than 3 people at a time.

So if you wanna help those who are less fortunate and/or wanna have (nice) photographs on your wall, here is your chance.

Please contact me if you have a question or suggestion.

Cheerio.....

Hi to Everyone!

Hi all,

I've been wanting to create a blog just for the website since some time ago. Tonight, I finally get to do it. For those who know me, you'll probably saying to yourself "Let's see how often she gonna post." Hehehehe.... I kinda would like to see that myself.
This time I promise to post at least one post per week. I never see myself as a big talker, so I will keep my posts short most of the time.

I have to say I am now on my "lunch break" on photography. I haven't taken serious photographs for a while now. My days are filled with Interior-Architectural projects, Graphic Design projects, work and eat. I pretty much have very little time to do anything else, but I certainly hope I will soon go back to do Fun Photography. We're having a flickr meet-up in Orange County tomorrow. I hope that will help bring back the smile to Mr.d, my precious camera. :)

Until next time.........
